Granary Cottage is situated in a quiet location close to the centre of Heacham, on the north Norfolk coast. Heacham is a sizeable village with an excellent range of amenities, including 3 pubs, and a social club. There are 2 cafes, an Indian takeaway, a Chinese takeaway and 2 fish and chip shops.
Heacham is a sociable village which organises a carnival each year. There are many tourist attractions in the area, including the Sandringham estate, Norfolk Lavender and the North Norfolk coastal path. It is a short drive to the busy resort of Hunstanton where there is a funfair, a swimming pool, a sealife centre and crazy golf. Public transport links to the North Norfolk Coast, Hunstanton and Kings Lynn are excellent.
King's Lynn is the nearest city where there is a good range of shops, a theatre, cinema and restaurants. Details of local attractions, community services, dates of events etc can be found on the Norfolk website.

- Heacham Fish Bar, High Street, Heacham - (takeaway only). Open Tues to Thurs 4.45pm-8pm Fri & Sat 4.45pm-9pm.
- Spice Garden, High Street, Heacham - Open all week. Indian restaurant and take away (inc. delivery). Good Indian food, popular at weekends so advisable to book .
- Fox and Hounds, Station Road, Heacham - Local pub serving good food; ales from its own micro brewery. Often has live music.
- The West Norfolk, Station Road Heacham - Large local pub providing good food and local ales.
- The Bushel and Strike, Malthouse Crescent, Heacham - Good beer garden. Food available lunchtimes and evening
- Mulberry Restaurant, Hunstanton Road, Heacham - Situated in the Heacham Manor Hotel this restaurant offers excellent food in beautiful surroundings overlooking the golf course.
- The Lavender Kitchen, Norfolk Lavender, Heacham - Situated within 'Norfolk Lavender' at the edge of the village this café/restaurant serves light lunches, snacks, cream teas, cakes and hot and cold drinks. Hot meals served from 12-3pm.
- King William Sedgefield - The King William is a good local pub with a reputation for good food and is busy all year round. Outside garden.
- Rose and Crown Snettisham - Pub meals and a restaurant menu with specials changing daily. Has won a number of awards. Pretty walled garden.
- The Gin Trap, Ringstead - Traditional village pub with excellent meals
- The Ancient Mariner Inn, Old Hunstanton - Large garden overlooking the sea. Good food.
